PURPOSE OF JOB:

To accurately interpret applicable tariffs and contracts as assigned.  To generate audit sheets based on these and correctly distribute revenue.  To create invoices for shipment or storage services for assigned tariffs and contracts.  Functions as a resource person for customer/carrier questions and coordinates resolution of receivable issues in order to facilitate payments and close the account.  Able to demonstrate a consistently high technical expertise in the area of assignment.  Works additional hours as requested to accommodate business needs.

ESSENTIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERRFORMANCE STANDARDS:        

• Creates audit sheet in order to distribute revenue and invoice shipments.
• Creates invoice and/or revenue distributions in computer system.
• Prepares billing packet with invoice to submit for payment.         
• Works to resolve payment, billing and receivable issues from both internal and external customers.        
• Communicates and documents invoice rejection issues.
• Meets and maintains department quality and quantity standards.
• Completes and maintains appropriate internal processes.
• Completes Excel MMI Invoice template per client specifications prior to invoice submission.

•   Education:   Associates Degree in  Accounting/Finance

   

    Experience: 1-2 years working in an accounting environment.  Experience with computers and office equipment.  Efficient calculator and computer keying skills in order to input information with minimal error.  Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and timely at all levels of the organization.  Ability to be accurate, organized and attend to multiple tasks.  Self-starter with the ability to perform with limited instructions.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of data.

   

    Licenses/Certifications/Specialized Training:            Knowledge of tariff requirements.  Proficient with Windows and Office applications.
