(Aurora, COLO) -  This morning, Cops Fighting Cancer, a non-profit 501 C (3) organization, has honored the Graebel Companies with its 2011 Business of the Year award.  At a press conference in the Graebel World Headquarters auditorium and held prior to the ninth annual Long Blue Line motorcade to the Children’s Hospital,  Aurora Police Officer and the founder of Cops Fighting Cancer, James Seneca surprised the Company with the Business of the Year award.

Seneca remarked, “This is the second year that Graebel has donated its flag-truck to our Long Blue Line motorcade to the Children’s Hospital.  When originally asked if Graebel could help transport toys to the Children’s Hospital, within minutes we were told, ‘Of Course!’  We had no idea what would come next!  The men and women at Graebel rallied and have donated hundreds of new toys for the children that are battling cancer in addition to raising nearly $4,000 through fund-raising efforts like penny war battles and raffles. The Graebel team has epitomized the spirit of this holiday season in their generosity of time and resources. We are proud to present Graebel with our Business of the Year award, because this is a remarkable organization that genuinely cares about helping others.”

Accepting the honor Bill Graebel, chief executive officer stated, “I am proud and humbled to accept this honor for our team.  Daily, our people work tirelessly to exceed our clients' expectations and they never hesitate to volunteer and help the organizations in their communities. We did not hesitate to help when the Cops Fighting Cancer team approached us. In the true spirit of our organization’s mantra that is embraced year-round and worldwide, the Graebel team in Denver responded quickly with ‘What do you need?  How can we help? ”

Cops Fighting Cancer provides year-round support to individuals that are battling cancer and their families across Colorado.  Law enforcement agencies, volunteers and the businesses statewide come together for a holiday toy-drive for the patients at the Children's Hospital located in Aurora. In a motorcade, the Long Blue Line to the hospital approximately 50 police cruisers, 30 police motorcycles, military vehicles and personnel escorted a Graebel Van Lines' 53-foot trailer that was filled with donated toys.

Today, the Graebel Companies and its Denver moving and storage center also hosted over 400 people that included law enforcement officers from across the state of Colorado, and State and Federal law enforcement agencies for the ninth annual Cops Fighting Cancer Long Blue Line charity event.
