AURORA, CO. — On April 20, 2009, as part of the Graebel Companies, Inc., “Go Green” program, the organization will host an employee Electronics Recycling Collection Event at its headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Employees are asked to bring in any unused electronics from home.

Guaranteed Recycling Xperts (GRX) will be on site to collect and responsibly recycle electronic waste. GRX offers an electronic waste collection service, which meets the highest environmental standards for electronics recyclers. According to GRX, 50 to 80% of electronics collected for recycling end up in landfills in developing countries. GRX ensures all items are properly recycled, processed, and reused in new products, rather than dumped into landfills. They secure, disassemble, and completely shred all storage materials to ensure data security. GRX is accepting most electronics, including cell phones, computers, fax machines, microwaves, and televisions. GRX will not accept AC units or refrigerators.

Graebel makes it a top priority to be green. Graebel was one of the first in the industry to receive its ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification in July 2007. The ISO 14001 requires implementation of an Environmental Management System in accordance with defined internationally recognized standards. In June 2008, Graebel launched its Go Green program at its headquarters in Denver, and in Wausau, Wisconsin, to focus on its social responsibility as an environmentally-friendly organization. Graebel continues to roll-out companywide deployment of its Green Initiatives.

“With each passing day, we are becoming a more eco-friendly and conscious organization because it is both a responsible and necessary thing to do,” says Bill Graebel, Chief Executive Officer.
