DENVER, CO – March 21, 2005 – Graebel Companies, Inc. is proud to announce as part of aligning its business structure with the needs of the customers it supports that a new department of the Graebel Companies, Shared Services, will be created in Wausau, WI. The Shared Services department performs interstate billing, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and many other accounting and administrative functions for the company's van line and moving & storage service centers located in 53 metropolitan areas in the United States.

The Graebel Wausau office performs a number of company-wide functions such as information systems development however, its largest operation will be the Shared Services department headed by David Kordonowy, Vice President of Shared Services and the executive in charge of the Graebel Wausau office.

"Wausau provides a stable workforce with a great work ethic" notes Kordonowy.  "We continue to find great efficiency in performing a variety of accounting services in Wausau. For a company that started with the vision of one man in Wausau to grow into the largest privately held relocation company in the US, it is great to know the Wausau office remains the backroom heart of the company."

From Local Company To Global Giant

With a half billion dollars in sales clearly in sight, what began in Wausau over 50 years ago as the vision of David Graebel has materialized into one of the premier full service relocation companies in America.  David began the Graebel Companies with one truck and an idea - to be of unusual service and value to everyone he served.  Now the product of that vision serves the Global 500 in virtually every country in the world.  And although the company moved its headquarters to Denver, Colorado in the 1980s, the Wausau operation is still the backroom heart of the company.

Although Graebel has grown into the largest privately-held moving and storage company in the U.S., many people are not aware that Graebel has evolved into much more than a transportation and warehousing company.  Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Graebel Relocation Services Worldwide, Inc. (GRSW), the company offers a complete menu of global relocation services from real estate purchasing and sales assistance for transferees, mortgage financing, temporary living assistance, and much more.  "We're a one stop shop for corporations who want to outsource the entire relocation function," says Bill Graebel, Chief Operating Officer.  "GRSW has seen in excess of a 100% increase in revenues in the past 12 months.  Graebel Movers International managed nearly 10,000 shipments representing over 30,000,000 pounds in 2004.  Graebel Commercial Services is the largest office mover in America and now represents approximately 25% of the company's revenues."

"When I started this business in Wausau over 50 years ago my neighborhood was my world.  It's where I got my leads and I got my loads," said Dave Graebel, the founder and Chairman of Graebel Companies.  "But now the world is our neighborhood and the needs of the world are awesome."
